Innovation for Craig
For our last project in Neuro Aspects, we were given a scenario and 3 objects to create an assistive device or intervention for our client in the scenario. My client's name is Craig, a young, first generation American man whose family comes from Korea. He is married to Nari, who is a full time receptionist at a doctor's office and Craig recently opened a music store a year and a half ago. They are close to their family and hoped to start a family of their own once the music shop was financially stable. Craig is being seen because he fell off of a ladder and suffered a complete C7 spine cord injury. This means that his C7-8 spinal root nerve was severed during his injury. This typically results in tetraplegia, meaning he will have paralysis of his trunk and all four limbs.
